CBS Miami is looking for a dynamic producer who knows versatility is the spice of life! The ideal candidate is aggressive, experienced and creative. Someone who understands the power of words and video and is open to filling in on a variety of newscasts and driving forward segment ideas. This producer will create, lead and organize content for the station utilizing strong editorial, journalistic, communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate, research, manage, write, produce, and edit news segments for television and digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with CBS Miami’s team to ensure seamless coordination and execution of news stories.
  • Work both in the control room demonstrating adaptability and composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Thrives on change and innovation, constantly seeking new ideas and approaches to connect with our audience.
  • Assist in the station’s goal of growing digital-first content.
  • Create a creative and inclusive work environment that encourages fresh ideas and community engagement.
  • Uphold impeccable grammar, spelling, and attention to detail in all content produced.
  • Exhibit strong editorial judgment, effective communication, and critical thinking skills.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in newscast production.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven background in journalism and television production, including solid news judgment, rundown management, and concise broadcast writing.
  • Familiarity with streaming platforms and working knowledge of digital video production techniques and online content management.
  • Previous experience working in a live control room, including serving as a Line Producer in a live-news environment.
  • Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in fast paced situations.
  • A passion for connecting with the South Florida community and fostering audience development.
