  • The School of Communication welcomes The World Press Photo Exhibit again this year in the Common Ground Courtyard. The exhibit is an impressive collection of the organization’s 2007 award-winning photographs.  The winning photographs of the traveling photo exhibit were selected from 4,460 professional photographers from 124 countries.  The exhibit will be on display from February 26 – March 5.   • We Media Forum comes to UM; webcast available
    The 2008 We Media Forum and Festival, hosted by the School of Communication, will take place on campus Tuesday, February 26 through Thursday, February 28. The event is bringing more than 200 thought leaders, social entrepreneurs, and media pioneers to activities held at numerous facilities on campus. An opportunity to view live broadcast content is being made available at the Cosford Cinema and through the Web. Some of the activities include: panel discussions, workshops, demonstrations, mentoring sessions, and a pitch session for entrepreneurs to present their business ideas.

·        The  Program in Women’s and Gender Studies, the American Studies Program, the History Department, and the Office of the President will be hosting DREW GILPIN FAUST, Professor of History and President, Harvard University  on “Women, Death, and Mourning in the American Civil War”.
