Remember Communication
Week 2008 Starts Today!
Communication Week is an annual celebration of the ideas,
insights and information that permeate the Communication arts and professions.
The week presents a variety of exhibitions, screenings, forums, panels, special
events and other activities throughout the School that engage faculty,
students, alumni and special guests in a wide-ranging exploration of
Communication in all of its aspects. The program, which runs from February 15
-February 22, is stimulating, informative, enlightening and fun!
This year’s week will celebrate global and multi-cultural communication
and the role of the communication professions on the international stage.
Guests include Alumni, Pulitzer Prize Winners, Public Relations, Advertising,
Journalism and Motion Picture industry experts, and many more.

· UM student chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists will be hosting the Society of Professional Journalists Panel
The Society of Professional Journalists is hosting a job panel and resume critique for Comm Week, next Tuesday February 19 in STUDIO A. Rick Hirsch (Managing Editor/Multimedia at the Miami Herald), Michelle Morgante (assistant Florida bureau chief at the AP) and Kathy Pellegrino (recruitment editor at the Sun-Sentinel) will tell you what their organizations are looking for in a panel discussion. The participants will meet one-on-one with students after the event to give personalized feedback. Feel free to bring you resume and clips to be critiqued.
