Scholarships for undergraduates are no longer handled through the School of Communication. All students interested in a scholarship, must complete a FAFSA application through the Office of Financial Assistance at www.miami.edu/ofas. Applications must be processed by Friday, February 1, 2008.There are no longer separate applications. All scholarships are awarded through the Office of Financial Assistance and the process is based on various criteria such as major, course of study, GPA, etc. For questions students can visit or call the Office of Financial Assistance:

News America Marketing, a News Corporation Company, is excited to be recruiting on Miami campus this spring for our Sales Development Program. This is their first year recruiting at Miami and they hope to be able to meet many Marketing and Business seniors while on campus. They will be on campus for an information session Monday, February 11 and on-campus interviews on Friday, February 29.

AWARDS FOR 2008-2009 ACADEMIC YEAR: Awards will range from $5,000 to $15,000.00. Individual scholarship awards will be based on quality of projects submitted.

OPEN TO: All students in all majors in the School of Communication

HOW TO APPLY: An application is attached. Applicants must submit a project that includes one or more of the following subjects: wine (including subtopics such as wine and health, etc.), food or the hospitality industry. Such projects could include, but are not limited to, a video or short documentary, news or feature writing, a press kit, an advertising project, a graphic design project, a photography portfolio, or a scholarly or research paper.
