Project Description
Dr Amir Whitaker’s combination of professional, academic, personal and research experiences makes him a leading expert on at-risk youth. He was introduced to the criminal justice system while visiting both his mother and father in prison during his childhood years. By age 15, Amir himself was arrested and entered the juvenile justice system.
Problems in school eventually led to Amir being expelled from high school and placed into an Alternative High School for “troubled youth.” Nonetheless, Amir managed to be one of the first in his family to graduate high school and attend college.
Amir started Project KnuckleHead to take youth from situations similar to his and help them reach their potential for greatness.
The team created a new logo and brand identity for Project Knucklehead, as well as merchandise, and a website redesign.
