Ellen Fleysher is a veteran news reporter and multiple Emmy award winning producer.
Most recently a producer with the Fox News Channel in New York covering breaking news in an all-live format, Ms. Fleysher spent 12 years at CBS News with assignments in Russia, Japan, China, Australia, Indonesia and the Philippines. Before becoming a network producer, she worked as an on-air reporter and anchor at every network affiliate in New York and also CNN.
She interrupted her television career to serve as Deputy Commissioner, Public Information for the New York Police Department, supervising a 24/7 bureau of 20 officers and advising the Police Commissioner on public policy matters. During her tenure, she coordinated press coverage for the visits of Fidel Castro and Pope John Paul II.
Ms. Fleysher has won numerous awards and honors including Emmy's for documentary and news features. Her work in China was recognized with a Gracie Award, from American Women in Radio and Television.
Ms. Fleysher received a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in American Studies from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a Master of Arts degree from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. She also received an honorary doctorate in humane letters from Marymount College.
