Michael J. Beatty, Ph.D. Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research

Dr. Michael J. Beatty, an internationally known communication scholar and marketing consultant, joined the faculty of the Communication Studies program in the fall of 2007 as a Professor and directs the Ph.D. program. Dr. Beatty has been named among the top three most productive scholars in his field and is pioneering communication research in the area of bio-communication theory.

In addition, he has published numerous articles in national publications, including the Quarterly Journal of Speech and Communication Quarterly and has had significant consulting experience with major corporations including AT&T, New York Life Insurance Company and Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. Dr. Beatty holds the Ph.D. in Speech Education from Ohio State University.
