Terry Adams Bloom, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor, Electronic Media, Broadcast Journalism, and Media Management

Dr. Adams Bloom joined the School of Communication as a faculty member in the Fall of 2004. She was no stranger to the University, however, having earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication from the School in 1991. She went on to earn her Master’s degree at Arizona State University, and her Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She teaches courses in television production and broadcasting, and her research interests include the role of the technician in television process.

Adams also has a dozen years of experience in television news production, having performed in virtually all technical areas, up to and including directing and crew supervision. She worked at stations in Springfield, MA, Phoenix, AZ, Hartford, CT, and Raleigh, NC.
