The School of Communication's M.F.A. in Producing program offers a competitive edge for moving image professionals through a path of study dedicated to the business of producing motion pictures, independent features and other media.

Coursework includes aspects of script development, analysis of the screenplay, producing the motion picture, producing the independent feature, directing the film, production management, motion picture marketing and distribution, film culture, and motion pictures and the law, providing a broad range of experience and knowledge for the producing student.

Special facilities for the Motion Picture program include the campus movie theater, the Bill Cosford Cinema, film and video sound stages, state of the art editing and digital post-production suites and one of the nation's largest privately held collections of 35mm and 70mm films, The Raymond J.
